Petru first creates the design of the item and carefully selects the material. A lot of thought is given to the concept of the item when working the leather. Sometimes Petru imports leather from other countries. Meet Petru Cucu - Moldovan designer and master in leather accessories and shoes. Petru is designing and constructing leather accessories and shoes by hand. He has mastered this craft from his father and grandmothers and has been working with leather since childhood. Being a creative personality, Petru studied and obtained his master degree from the Technical University of Moldova. There is a lot of thought and passion invested into every piece Petru is making. One item may take from a week to a month to be made. Petru works in a small atelier in Chisinau and dedicates days and nights to creating new models. His dream is to have his own brand and pass the craft to his children. His favourite dish is the traditional Moldovan 'mamaliga' made out of yellow maize flour with cottage cheese.
