Dear Mavens,
Are you ready to elevate your daily looks with sustainable fashion and clean beauty, in the name of health and wellness of our beautiful planet? Earth Month has finally arrived, and we here at GlobeIn are excited to curate a collection of impactful, handmade artisanal goods worth sharing with your friends and family. Get ready to adorn yourself with vibrant colors, ultra-silky-soft-high-quality fabrics, and all-natural products that will make you an eco-fashionista.

Each year, the fast fashion industry heavily polluted waterways, land, and air — putting the health of artisans and local communities at risk. People and organizations around the world have come together in recent years to unite and use our voices and dollars to urge the fast fashion industry to clean up its act. GlobeIn stands with the Fair Trade values and we hope to urge the fashion industry to create impactful change to those who produce their handmade products all over the world.

For the reclamation of people and planet, let us continue to make conscious choices that benefit our mind, body, and world.
Cheers,
Angela

Small Capiz Shell Wind Chime - Blue & Turquois
Putu Suartana (left, yellow), Luh Suandana (center), Ketut Suangana (right, blue)
Balizen
Indonesia
For thousands of years, the capiz shell has been admired for its beautiful translucence and durability. Nowadays, capiz shells are collected as a byproduct of fishing. The fisherman of the Maduran region in Java collect these shells and color them at the workshops within the region to create the captivating blue and green shells, mimicking the ocean colors of their beaches.
The chimes are strung together by 30 artisans who are currently stay-at-home mothers who were laid off due to COVID-19. Putu Suartana, Luh Sardi, and Ketut Suangana are the production managers and lead wind chime maker who were able to oversee the entire production to bring these lovely windchimes to life and start their journey to our homes and hearts.
Suggested use: Surrounding yourself with this beautiful, ethically-sourced product just makes cooking more pleasurable.
